On voit rarement de haute qualité led driver power supply fail due to manufacturing failures. Because in most cases, the failure of the led driver is caused by installation problems or some environmental factors.

Recently, a customer contacted us who has been using SMARTS led driver for many years without any problems, but immediately experienced two failures when installing a new LED light.

The fact that there were two immediate failures in one installation indicated that the external cause of the power supply was the cause of the failure.

If you find yourself in this situation, the first thing to do is to see if there is a short circuit somewhere in the string, causing the power to turn off.

As a quick test, disconnect the led power supply from the lamp and measure the voltage output from the power supply. If so, then the problem is with the lamp.

You should also make sure that one led driver does not drive too many lights.

If you have performed some tests with just a few lamps installed before, you may mislead you into thinking that the led driver can run the entire string.

There is a problem with some LED string lights. Some of them have built-in electronics to compensate for voltage drops, which can be a problem when starting from a cold start.
